Turtles, Hibernation, Brumation and More!

How an animal hibernates or brumates depends on many things including what specific type of animal it is and the environment around it. For example, a box turtle living in an icy, cold forest will act differently in winter than a snapping turtle living in warm water. It also depends on how one defines hibernation.
